I can’t believe I’m talking about fall fashion. I need a minute. Deep breaths. But these affordable pieces will put a little pep in your step, giving your wardrobe a little dopamine jolt as you transition from summer to fall.

01. A Desk Cardigan // This fantastic Grace Karin cardigan comes in five great neutrals. ?The wider edge helps it lay flat and look a bit more expensive than a cardi with a thin trim. ?I would keep this cardigan at my desk for chilly offices. ?The deep v-neck on this makes it great for layering over blouses and tees. ?And if you travel for work, this is a fantastic plane cardigan. ?Size runs small to XXL.
02. Chic Sunnies // The mocha color of these sunglasses is so incredibly chic. ?Still neutral, but with a little something extra, these are the sunglasses I keep in my car because they always look stylish. ?Under-$15 and giving a little something extra. ?J.Crew Factory has a similar color in a more angular option. ?
03. An Easy Eye Pencil // This Julep eye pencil is a must own. ?It comes in 57 colors, both shimmer and matte. ?I love this Smoky Amethyst. ?They’re so easy, and if you bundle it with matte nude, they’re discounted.
04. A Cool Flat // Okay, this mesh mule may not qualify as a basic, but it’s so versatile. ?The band across the top keeps them secure on your foot, and the mesh gives them a summer-to-fall vibe. ?This is such a cool style, but if you want a full shoe, try this mesh ballet flat.
05. A Ring Stack // This Pavoi stack stopped me in my tracks. ?Such a cool piece. ?Wear them together, wear them on their own, wear them on different fingers. ?Love, love. ?This stack has the same wavy quality but is a hair shorter. ?Both are amazing accents for fall.
06. The Basic Tee //?This Hanes tee is the ultimate simple white tee. ?Buy 10. ?They’re $11 a piece. ?Once you own one, you’ll find yourself wearing it a lot. ?I’ve reviewed a lot of great white tees over the years, this one holds up the best in the wash, just make sure to tumble dry on medium or low for longevity.
